Yoji Rimon

יוז'י רימון

Deli or food maker · Butcher's shop and deli · No kosher certificate

58 HaMaagal Street, Rimon shopping centre, Kiryat Ono

A butcher's shop and deli in the Rimon shopping centre that Yoji Kobo opened in 1967, run today by the third generation of his family.

Yoji Rimon is the flagship shop of the Yoji butchers. By its site's account, Yoji Kobo, a policeman who came from Bulgaria, set up a butcher's in 1952 to sell quality meat that was not kosher, became a meat wholesaler to Tel Aviv's steakhouses, and in 1967 opened his own shop in Rimon, which its site calls the first butcher's in Israel to sell meat and chicken cut into parts. The second generation added a deli and ready meals cooked on the premises, and today Ofer Roded, Yoji's grandson, runs the shop with his wife Daniela. It sells beef, poultry, lamb and pork, which its site calls white meat, along with sausages, cheeses, salads, wines, pantry goods, platters and cooked dishes, and it delivers the day after an order to towns from Petah Tikva and Ramat Gan to Herzliya and Kfar Saba.
