Rephael House is a boutique hotel on the Rothschild pedestrian street in the old centre of Rishon LeZion, in a building that its site says Baron Rothschild put up in 1890. The building first housed the colony's officials, held the local council and the farmers' committee in the 1920s and then served as the town hall until 2005, and it was restored after being marked for preservation. The hotel has 30 rooms and one suite; the Executive rooms keep their high ceilings, old windows and repainted ornaments, and every room has a Nespresso machine, a 55-inch smart television, a rain shower and Minus 417 toiletries made with Dead Sea ingredients. Guests are met in the lobby with a glass of cava, and there are a meeting room, a quiet lounge with coffee and tea, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is named after Raphael Serussi (1921-2017), who was born in Tripoli and put up many of the town's buildings.
