US offers up to $20 million and relocation for tips on Iran's nuclear program
A reward from the US military for information on Iran's nuclear work comes as Donald Trump faces blame at home for the war with Iran after midterm losses.

The United States has put up a reward of as much as $20 million for information about Iran's nuclear program, and is also offering possible relocation to people who come forward, The Jerusalem Post reported. The offer targets anyone able to supply details on the program, with the money and the chance of being moved elsewhere presented together as the incentive.
The Israeli news site Ynet attributed the offer to US Central Command, the American military headquarters, and reported that the command proposed both money and a change of residence in return for information on the nuclear program. Ynet set the announcement against what it described as shifting and contradictory statements from President Donald Trump about where the conflict with Iran goes next, and said Trump had confirmed overnight that US forces struck a small air defence site, saying they had "eliminated it within minutes".
Who made the offer
US Central Command, often shortened to CENTCOM, is the part of the US military responsible for operations across the Middle East, which includes Iran. That the reward came from a military command, as Ynet reported, rather than from a diplomatic or law enforcement body, places it within the ongoing American military campaign against Iran.
The Jerusalem Post described the payment as reaching up to $20 million, meaning that figure is a ceiling rather than a fixed sum. Neither report explained how the amount paid to any individual would be decided.
Why relocation matters
The pairing of cash with possible relocation is the detail both reports highlight. Anyone inside Iran who passes information about the nuclear program to a foreign military would face serious personal risk, and an offer to move a source and potentially their family is aimed at people who would otherwise have no safe way to act. Neither report described where people might be relocated or what conditions would apply.

Iran's nuclear program has for years been at the centre of tensions between Tehran, the United States and Israel. Israel regards a nuclear-armed Iran as a threat to its existence, and the program has been the subject of sanctions, sabotage, diplomacy and military action. A photograph accompanying the Jerusalem Post report showed a billboard in Tehran's Enqelab square, pictured on August 29, 2025, displaying images of nuclear scientists and centrifuges alongside a Farsi slogan that translates as "Science is the power", a reflection of how the Iranian state presents its nuclear work as a point of national pride.
The political backdrop in Washington
Ynet framed the reward as part of a wider shift in Trump's tone. According to its report, since the Republican defeat in the midterm elections, and accusations that the loss was caused by the war in Iran, Trump has made statements swinging between talk of "annihilation" and talk of "ending the war". Ynet's headline characterised the reward as a possible "exit ticket" from Iran, though that is the outlet's own framing rather than a stated aim of the US government.

The same Ynet report carried Trump's confirmation of a strike on what he called a small anti-aircraft facility. That account comes from Trump himself, and no further detail on the location, timing or outcome of the strike appeared in the reports.
What the reports do not say
Neither report quotes the text of the US announcement or explains how people should submit information. There is no reported response from the Iranian government to the offer. The reports also do not say whether the reward is linked to any specific facility, scientist or suspected activity, and Trump's account of the air defence strike has not been described by any other source in the material.

איך בדקנו את זה
The reward and relocation offer were reported by both The Jerusalem Post and Ynet. The attribution to US Central Command, the political context and Trump's account of the air defence strike come from Ynet alone.
