Maklot Vanille was founded in 2000 by Yigal Efrati, its pastry chef and owner, who according to its site learned his trade around the world before bringing his pastries, breads and cakes to the people of the Jezreel Valley. Over the years the patisserie grew into a bakery and a café, at 9 Yehoshua Hankin Street. The café serves breakfasts with the house breads and pastries, sandwiches and toasts, fresh pasta made in house from durum flour, pizzas baked on the spot, quiches and salads. It opens at 06:00 and closes at 22:00 from Sunday to Thursday and at 14:00 on Friday, and it is closed on Saturday.
