Asado Bar is a South American restaurant in the heart of Kibbutz Alonim, which Miguel and Reina opened in 2003 after coming to Israel from Uruguay with their four children in 1998; its site says their sons Sebastian and Damian have run it for twelve years, Sebastian at the grill and Damian with the guests. The kitchen slow-roasts meat on a traditional parrilla over embers of citrus, olive and oak wood, and the asado ribs are aged and tenderised before six to eight hours on the grill; beside them come homemade starters, Argentinian wines and handmade desserts, to Latin music. It opens to the public at weekends, from Thursday evening to Saturday afternoon, asks guests to book ahead, and holds private and business events on any day of the week in the restaurant and its garden.

Its site says Saturday ends at 18:00 or when the meat runs out, and asks guests to book before coming. Its Rest page opens Thursday at 17:00, and the council's tourism page gives Thursday 17:00 to 22:00, Friday 12:00 to 22:00 and Saturday 12:00 to 19:00.
