Captain Crepe is a dessert chain born in Ashkelon, and its flagship is on the pier at Ashkelon Marina, 9 HaNamal Street. By its own story it began in 2005 as "Rega Matok" in the city's Giron mall and was later renamed, with branches designed like a ship. It serves French crêpes, Belgian waffles, pancakes, churros, shakes, frozen yogurt and Italian ice cream made on site every day, with combos for a family or a group of friends. It closes for Shabbat and reopens on Saturday night, half an hour after Shabbat ends.
