A Romanian-Israeli lunch restaurant at the Ashkelon market, carrying on the city's old HaNitzahon

HaNitzahon shel Hani is a Romanian-Israeli restaurant in an Eastern European spirit at the Ashkelon market, by its booking page. Maariv's critic Nir Kipnis wrote in April 2025 that Hani, the daughter of the couple who ran the city's old Romanian restaurant HaNitzahon, opened it as her own, true to the original with some upgrades, and called its kebab the best Romanian kebab in Israel. The menu has ciorbă, ikra, chopped liver, varenikes, stuffed cabbage, mămăligă, Romanian kebab, grilled sea bream and papanași with sour cream. It serves lunch only, Monday to Saturday, with a business lunch from Monday to Thursday, and is closed on Sunday.
