A family's Saturday jahnun stand at its home in moshav Aviel, selling handmade butter jahnun hot from the pot from 09:00 to 15:00 for takeaway.

Jahnun San is a family business that makes and sells handmade butter jahnun every Saturday from its home in moshav Aviel, ten minutes' drive from Binyamina, Pardes Hanna and Zichron Yaakov. Its site says Sangit, the San of the name, has made the jahnun for almost twenty years from a friend's Yemenite grandmother's recipe, Noa makes the hot sauce, and their eldest daughter runs the line, the packing and the handing over to customers. Each jahnun is rolled by hand and served with grated Israeli tomatoes, the house hot sauce and a hamindos egg, and there is a vegan jahnun as well as coffee, fresh orange juice, homemade lemonade and desserts. The couple are musicians who run a recording studio and a sound-hire business on weekdays, and their site suggests taking the hot jahnun on a picnic to Ein Aviel, Alona Park, the Mei Kedem shafts or the Taninim stream, all within a few minutes' drive.
