Chan El Al

Guest house · No kosher certificate

Moshav Avnei Eitan, southern Golan Heights, Avnei Eitan

A khan of guest rooms, air-conditioned tents, shepherd tents and a campground in Moshav Avnei Eitan, at the head of the Nahal El Al trail in the southern Golan Heights

Chan El Al stands at the entrance to the Nahal El Al trail, on the cliff of the stream in Moshav Avnei Eitan, beside a nature reserve whose stream runs all year. It is one of the two khans of the Chanim network, run by the company Etgarim BaRama; the other, Chan HaGalil, is at Kibbutz Beit HaEmek. Families, couples, groups and campers choose between guest rooms, wooden apartments, air-conditioned family tents, large shepherd tents and lawns for their own tents, with outdoor kitchens, barbecue and campfire corners and free wifi, and its dining room serves breakfast, lunch and dinner by arrangement. It rents bicycles in daylight for the paved 30 km cycle path that links Natur in the north with Mevo Hama in the south, and arranges workshops and field days for schools, youth movements and teams. Avnei Eitan is a religious moshav: on Shabbat and festivals there is no check-in and guests drive in by the road around it.
