Tushia Farm, Moshav Be'er Milka, Be'er Milka

An organic family farm and boutique winery among the sand dunes of Moshav Be'er Milka by the Egyptian border, with guided farm tours and tastings of its wine and olive oil.

Gal and Roni Tushia, a Tel Aviv couple who worked in television and the electronic music scene, founded the farm on the sand dunes of Be'er Milka in 2013 and live there with their four children. Its 70 dunams are mostly vines and Barnea, Picual and Coratina olives, with an orchard of pomegranates, dates, figs and many other fruit trees, all grown without chemical sprays and worked by hand, largely by volunteers from Israel and abroad, alongside school groups, soldiers and youth movements. The winery, built among the vines, has made wine from all of the farm's grapes since 2020: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Petit Verdot, Alicante Bouschet, Chenin Blanc and Muscat of Hamburg, about 9,500 bottles of wine and grape juice in 2024, and its first wine won a medal at the Terravino competition. A basic tour of about an hour and a half walks through the vineyards, the olive grove and the orchards with fruit tasting by season and ends with a tasting in the visitors' centre, where its wines, olive oil and grape juice are sold; families get a treasure-hunt tour that ends with grape juice.
