Beit Berl, Beit Berl

Berale is a coffee cart in Beit Berl, beside Kfar Sava, opened by two friends, Amitai and Dor. On its Coffee Trail page Amitai says the idea of a cart of his own grew out of years of visiting coffee carts with friends every week, and that Dor brought experience from the restaurants his family owns. The cart stands in a green compound of flowers and shade trees, with a long lawn for picnic blankets, picnic tables, high tables and low lounging corners, and on weekdays most of its customers are students from the college and the schools nearby, which is why it keeps its prices modest. It serves sandwiches and salads, bagel sandwiches, pizza, orange cake and date balls, with vegan and gluten-free choices; children get toasted bagels, cheese bourekas and chocolate balls, and the lawn has balls, chalk and board games. Amitai's dog, Mikey, is there most days, and appears on the cart's logo dressed in clothes from the cartoon Arthur.
