Moshav Beit HaLevi, Beit HaLevi

A coffee cart among the trees of Moshav Beit HaLevi, run by chef Adam Sasson, with shaded seats, quiet work corners and a play corner for children

Lilu stands in a roomy, shaded compound among the trees of Moshav Beit HaLevi, next to a playground, with work stations, Wi-Fi, parking and a play corner for children; its work corners are covered and cooled. Its food is made by chef Adam Sasson, who owns the cart: special sandwiches, quality coffee, shakes, healthy salads and fresh pastries. It is named after Elit, known as Lilu, who learned to make and serve coffee at the café of the Shafririm school and died of cancer; the idea of a cart in her name came during the pandemic. It holds special evenings such as family pizza nights, schnitzel in challah on Fridays and meat feasts with brisket, hosts private events in its compound, and goes out to events as a food truck.
