Beit Hogla, Route 90, 3 km north of the old Beit HaArava junction, Beit Hogla

An organic date, olive and pomegranate farm with a visitor centre and a farm stand at Beit Hogla, on Route 90 north of the Dead Sea

Beit Hogla Farm was founded in 2001 by Erna Covos, and the community of Beit Hogla grew up around it. The farm grows dates, olives, pomegranates, figs, papaya and aloe vera organically, and makes extra virgin olive oil, pomegranate juice and wine, date liqueur and aloe vera oil, gel and soap, sold at a stand in its visitor centre and in the farm shop. The Jericho Visitor Centre, which it opened in 2021, has a 3-D map of the area, books and multimedia on the history of Jericho and the farm, and a lookout about 100 m away faces the plains of Moab and Mount Nebo. It also has guest rooms, a petting corner with a small herd, chickens, pigeons, peacocks and two donkeys, shaded groves to sit in, and an events garden. Visits are arranged ahead by phone or WhatsApp.
