1 Derech HaGefen, Moshav Beit Zayit, Beit Zayit

A kosher dairy café and restaurant at the foot of the road into Beit Zayit, with a flowering garden, a herb nursery and a menu of fish, pasta and pizza

Derech HaGefen sits at the foot of the road into Beit Zayit, in a valley of fields and vineyards, and its site says it comes from the makers of Cafe Itamar. The kosher Mediterranean kitchen, with Italian touches, serves breakfasts, handmade pasta, pizzas, salads, fresh fish and desserts made on the premises. Seats are scattered along the paths of a flowering garden with herbs and running water, and a nursery in the yard sells herb plants for the kitchen and for tea. A private room takes small business or family events of up to 30 people by arrangement.
