27 Derech HaHoshel, Moshav Ben Ami, Ben Ami
A family-run compound of four holiday houses and two suites among fruit trees and lawns in Moshav Ben Ami, next to Nahariya and the Galilee Medical Center
Bar-On Vacation Resort is the guest compound Amit and Smadar opened in 2013 on their farm in Moshav Ben Ami, next to Nahariya, where they also live. Four holiday houses and two suites stand among fruit trees and lawns, sleeping up to 52 guests in all by its own count, and its site lists a games room called Goren, a trampoline, a treehouse, a reflexology path, a herb garden and a fire pit shared by all guests. It holds the Green Tourism mark. Breakfast and meals from chef Yaron Chen can be ordered to the house, and the hosts offer an hour-long club-car tour of the moshav, led by Amit, and jeep tours in the Galilee. The compound is about ten minutes' walk from the Galilee Medical Center, and its site says many doctors, interns and families of patients stay there, sometimes for months.
