Bethlehem of Galilee, in the fields south of the moshav, Bethlehem of Galilee

A spice and medicinal-herb farm in the fields of Bethlehem of Galilee, with a shop of more than a thousand spices and the Cider café

Derech Hatavlinim is the Zitershpiler family's spice farm in the fields of Bethlehem of Galilee: Avi Zitershpiler, who has grown spices since he was eight alongside his father Zvi, one of the pioneers of spice growing in Israel, opened it to visitors in 2003. Its visitor centre and shop, along an oak-lined path, holds more than a thousand spices, medicinal herbs, gourmet blends and infusions and a large market of dried fruit, and the farm grows dozens of species of spices and herbs in organic fields; groups come for tours, lectures and cooking workshops by arrangement. Cider, the farm's café, serves a dairy menu that changes with the seasons, with breakfast, sandwiches, salads and pastries, in an air-conditioned hall or in the shade facing the spice fields. On Saturdays there are workshops for children, and a tractor ride through the spice fields.
