Nof LaYaar, forest view in Hebrew, is a small boutique compound on the edge of Birya Forest, a few minutes' drive from Safed and Rosh Pina. From 20 October it lets only its Diamond suite, an open space with a king-size bed, a large indoor jacuzzi and a balcony facing the forest, so the built pool, heated to 33 degrees all year and covered by a roof that opens on fine days, belongs to its guests alone. Around the pool is a yard with a barbecue area, an outdoor dining table, table tennis and table football, and the compound has a protected room and private parking. A massage in the suite and balloon and flower decorations for a birthday can be ordered ahead, breakfast costs extra, and dogs are welcome by arrangement. Its hosts live there and plan walks and outings for guests.

Sapphire suite

A suite with a separate bedroom and living area, a large double bed, an indoor jacuzzi and a balcony facing the forest; its site says it takes bookings until 19 October only.
From 20 October the compound lets only the Diamond suite, so the pool is private to its guests at no extra charge.
