Ha'bite is a family-run chef's delicatessen in the Bitan's compound, beside the Havatzelet interchange on the coastal road. Its owners are a couple, Gal and Lior: Gal ran restaurant kitchens and trained at the Bishulim cookery school, and Lior is a commercial interior designer who comes from retail. On the compound's site they write that they opened it in 2014 as HaMaadaniya, the delicatessen, and gave it its new name some years later. The shop sells handmade cheeses, cured meats and pickled fish, sourdough breads baked on the premises, sauces, spreads and wine, and makes ciabatta sandwiches to eat there or take away. It also packs picnic baskets, gift boxes and party trays, and delivers on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the Hefer Valley, Lev HaSharon and Netanya.
