A brewery on the family farm in Moshav Dekel, near the Egyptian border, with a beer garden in its yard on Tuesday evenings and Friday afternoons
Itzik Levy founded the Isis brewery in 2004 on his family's farm in Moshav Dekel, in the Eshkol council at the edge of the Gaza envelope, as a brewery with a beer garden for guests. It brews 14 beers in different styles, ales, lagers and brut, along with seasonal ones, and sells them by the crate with delivery across the country. The beer garden sits in the brewery's yard under two large trees and opens on Tuesday from 18:00 to 22:00 and on Friday from 12:00 to 17:00, with beer on tap, music and snacks; its listing on the Eshkol tourism association's site adds a stage for live shows, jam sessions and a DJ. Groups of 15 or more can book tours, tastings and talks about beer, though not on Saturday. In 2023 it began building a new brewery in the Avshalom industrial zone, and its site says the war changed those plans. The name is the Egyptian goddess of nature and healing, a nod to the nearby border and to Isaac, the founder's name in English.
