Kibbutz Ein Harod Ihud, Ein Harod Ihud

A kibbutz country lodge on the hilltop of Ein Harod Ihud, with wooden cabins, suites and classic rooms looking out over the Harod Valley and the Gilboa

Ein Harod Country Lodge is the holiday village of Kibbutz Ein Harod Ihud, a working kibbutz on a hilltop looking out over the Harod Valley and the Gilboa. Its site tells how it opened in 1995 with 12 basic rooms and shared showers in an old building of the kibbutz's education programmes, and grew through renovations and new wooden cabins into four kinds of lodging: wooden cabins with a children's gallery, deluxe stone suites, couples' wooden suites with a jacuzzi facing the view, and classic ground-floor rooms. A full Israeli buffet breakfast, with sheep's-milk cheeses made on the kibbutz, is served in the lodge's own dining room at the top of the hill, and guests use the kibbutz's Olympic pool free of charge in season, along with playgrounds, lawns with hammocks, barbecue stations and a meeting room. Its site says it is an hour's drive from Tel Aviv and from Haifa, and that it has been recommended by mako, ynet, Channel 13, Maariv and Masa Acher.
