Ein Tzurim's guest house stands in the heart of the kibbutz, beside its working cowsheds, the founders' original huts and the Ein Tzurim lookout. The kibbutz was founded in Gush Etzion in 1946; its members spent nine months as prisoners in Jordan after the 1948 war and rebuilt it here in the Shafir valley in 1949. The guest house has five kinds of rooms, from cabins with private decks to three family apartments, 60 units in all by its own counts. Its dining room serves three Shabbat meals from a caterer's menu, meat on Friday night and Saturday morning and dairy or pareve at the third meal, and four halls for 40 to 100 people serve family Shabbatot, bar mitzvahs, workshops and conferences. Guests can use the kibbutz synagogues and, from June to August, its swimming pool, and there is a playground, football and basketball pitches and hammocks on the lawns. Café Lychee, the kibbutz coffee cart with pastries baked on the spot, opens on weekdays a short walk away.

Shaananim units

Roomy apartments with a large double bed and a sofa bed, a cot on request, a wide living room with a dining corner, a kitchenette with a large fridge, kettle and coffee corner, and a big balcony or a garden. Suited to a couple with one more, and to family Shabbatot.
Keshatot rooms

Ground-floor rooms in clean modern lines among the kibbutz lawns, three of them accessible, with air conditioning, beds that can be separated, a new bathroom, a seating corner, a kitchenette with a small fridge, kettle and coffee kit, and a door straight onto the lawn.
Tzabar rooms

Simpler kibbutz-style rooms for a couple or a family with two children, with flexible beds, air conditioning, a coffee corner and a small fridge, close to the halls and the main lawns.
Zimmers

Country cabins among lawns and greenery, some with a connecting door, each with a bedroom and a double bed, a living room with a sofa bed for children, a kitchenette and a private wooden deck facing the view; some have a jacuzzi.
Family apartments

Large apartments for a couple with three to five children, with two separate bedrooms, a wide living room with a family dining corner, a kitchenette with a large fridge, and a big balcony or a garden.
Every room has Shabbat timers for the lights and air conditioning, a fridge and microwave, and a welcome of fresh cake, milk, a coffee kit and water; an urn and a hot plate for Shabbat come on request, and an eruv covers the kibbutz. Pets are not allowed.
