A compound of eight guest units round a shared hall on a date farm in Ein Yahav, built for large families and groups of up to 30.
Rega Arava belongs to Rami and Rotem Livne, second-generation settlers of the Arava who came back in 2010 to carry on their parents' farm. The compound in Ein Yahav looks out to the mountains of Edom and has eight guest units, wide lawns, a gathering hall and a protected space. The central building was put up for extended families and groups who want to be together: it has a kitchen, a large fridge, dining tables, a hob, a gas grill and a lounge. Guests have an art corner, table tennis, a barbecue corner and sitting corners, and use the moshav's pool and sports courts. The family also grows Medjool dates, sold under its own label, Matok Midbar, for export and directly to guests.
