Kabir Winery takes its name from the Mount Kabir ridge on whose slopes it stands: its first vineyard was planted in Elon Moreh in 2007, with Mount Gerizim and Mount Ebal in view, and it has made wine since 2011. Its pages give 100 to 120 dunams of vineyards at about 780 metres on terra rossa soil, growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, besides Picual and Nabali olives, and about 15,000 bottles a year, sold at the winery. The visitor centre shows the bottling line, the fermentation tanks and the underground barrel room, with a short film, a private tasting room and a terrace facing the view where a glass comes with a cheese platter; tours and tastings are by appointment only. Field tours take an hour among the vines, ancient winepresses and viewpoints by self-driven EZraider at 220 shekels a vehicle (from age 16) or club car at 140 shekels a person, and end with a tasting; a tour for two costs 550 shekels. The winery also keeps a couples' zimmer among the vines and the dairy restaurant of its visitor centre, which has a page of its own.
