Har Adar's community bar on HaEla Street, beside the local council building, run by volunteers on a non-profit basis

Bar Adar is Har Adar's community bar, set up as a meeting place for the village's residents and a way to strengthen community ties over a beer or a glass of wine. Everyone who runs it is a volunteer, it works on a non-profit basis with the help of the Har Adar local council, and it serves drinks and snacks at what it calls community prices. Its site gives summer opening on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 21:00 to midnight, as long as there are volunteers to staff it. Its team puts on shows, parties and community evenings, some free and some for a small entry fee: in 2026 the programme included Bira VeNashira, a sing-along evening with an open microphone, and a free afternoon party with a DJ on a Friday at the end of August, both for over-18s. Outside its regular nights it can be hired for small gatherings of up to 80 people, by arrangement.
