Six Scandinavian-style wooden cabins in the woodland at Mitzpe Har Halutz, 750 metres up where the Upper and Western Galilee meet, each with a private jacuzzi, and a pool among the trees

The Scandinavian Village is a cluster of six wooden cabins at Mitzpe Har Halutz, inside a nature reserve of mountain woodland 750 metres above sea level, on the border of the Upper and Western Galilee, with open views of forest and, far off, the sea. The cabins are built Scandinavian style from solid pine, brought in specially and assembled without nails, and its site says they were lately renovated and redesigned. Each has a parents' bedroom, a gallery upstairs, a kitchenette, a wood-burning fireplace and a private jacuzzi on its balcony. In summer guests swim in a small fenced pool built among the trees, a few metres from the cabins, and the Scandinavian Lounge, a shared room with a wood fireplace, cooking gear and board games, goes to groups that take four cabins or more, for family gatherings, workshops and retreats. Walking trails start at the cabin door, the air is dry and cool for most of the year, and snow falls almost every winter. Akko, Rosh Pina, Tiberias, Safed, Nahal Kziv and Nahal Tzalmon are about half an hour's drive away.
