Chef Eyad is a smoked meat restaurant with its own butcher's counter on Abd al-Karim Qasim Street in Kafr Qasim, run by chef Eyad Abu Alhassan, whom its site calls the king of smoked meats in the town where he was born and opened his first restaurant. By its account he gained his experience in Texas, added oriental spices of his own and was the first to make honey part of serving smoked meat. Black Angus beef and local lamb are marinated and smoked for 8 to 16 hours in ovens on show in the dining room, sold by weight and taken from the oven in front of the guests, who choose their pieces, while the waiters and chefs dance the dabke. The restaurant serves from 12:00 to 20:00 every day, and on Friday and Saturday a weekend carnival adds smoked chicken, duck, kebab, seafood and stuffed pigeon.
