Mitzpe HaShalom is the holiday village of Kibbutz Kfar Haruv, on the edge of a basalt cliff in the southern Golan, beside the Mitzpe LaShalom lookout. By its own account it looks out over the whole Sea of Galilee, the peaks of Mount Hermon, the Galilee mountains, the Arbel cliff, Mount Tabor and the fields of the Jordan Valley. Its 39 European-style wooden cabins and suites stand among lawns and flowering gardens, some in the front row facing the lake and some a few steps from the promenade along the cliff, for couples, families and small groups. The stay includes breakfast brought to the cabin in a basket, with a bottle of wine and biscuits waiting in the room. In a domed building of mineral plaster, wood and basalt with a coloured mosaic, its Ruach al HaMayim complex has two heated pools facing the view, for floating sessions and water treatments, open to visitors who are not staying.

Rooms above the suites looking over the lake, with a double bed or two singles, a small kitchenette with a fridge, a kettle and a microwave, a shower room, a television and a balcony facing the view.
The cabins are built of wood, so no fires or barbecues are allowed anywhere in the village, and no cooking in the rooms; animals may not be brought in, and smoking is not allowed in the rooms.

Arrival is from 15:00 to 20:00, Sunday to Friday; reception and the office are staffed until 20:00, and guests arriving later are asked to call before then. An earlier arrival depends on the room being free, and a later departure can be arranged ahead for a fee.
