Rosa Winery was founded in 2012 by Yochai Sagi and Eyal Vigderzon in the flat they shared in Jerusalem's Nachlaot, and after a few moves it now stands on the artists' avenue in Kibbutz Kfar Menahem. The two make natural wine with minimal intervention from grapes grown in vineyards around the country: reds, whites, rosés, sparkling and orange wines. Every wine ferments on wild yeasts and is bottled unfiltered, some with no added sulphur and the rest with a tiny amount, and the wines age in wooden barrels, clay jars, concrete or steel. Visitors are welcome to come and taste by calling ahead, and one of the two winemakers leads a professional tasting by appointment; the winery's site says it hopes to return to regular opening hours soon.
