A bakery and patisserie at the southern end of Moshe Goshen Boulevard, the first Eli's shop of Tiberias' Elite Bakery, with sourdough breads baked in a stone oven

Eli's is the shop of Elite Bakery (מאפיית עלית), which by its own history was founded in Tiberias in 1940 by Binyamin Mizrahi as the Dagan bakery and later renamed by his grandsons. The first Eli's opened here in Kiryat Motzkin in 2004, after the founder's great-grandson Eli Mizrahi trained as a pastry chef at Le Cordon Bleu in London; branches followed in Upper Tiberias in 2007 and in Lower Tiberias in 2017. Its site says everything is made in its own production, by hand and by traditional methods, and that its sourdough breads are made without yeast and baked in a stone oven. The range runs from sourdough loaves, rolls and baguettes to yeast cakes, tarts, cream cakes, baked cheesecakes, quiches, a low-calorie range and a gluten-free line. The shop opens at 06:00 on weekdays and at 05:00 on Friday, closes for Shabbat, and is on the Kiryat Motzkin religious council's kosher list.
