A family apiary on a farm in Moshav Klahim in the northern Negev that extracts its honey by hand and sells it, with beeswax, pollen and olive oil, from the farm and by delivery

Ido's Honey is a small family apiary in Moshav Klahim in the northern Negev, run by Dana and Ido, who also work their own avocado and olive orchards. Its hives stand in the Negev, which gives tamarisk, eucalyptus, avocado and wildflower honey, in the Jerusalem hills for thyme and wildflower honey, and south of the Sea of Galilee for citrus and avocado honey; the combs come back to the extraction house on the farm, where the honey is extracted by hand and poured into jars without heating. Its site says the bees are not fed sugar syrup and are treated only with materials approved for organic farming, and that the apiary takes part in the Israeli quality honey monitoring programme, which sends its honey to a laboratory twice a year. Besides honey it sells honeycomb, beeswax, pollen, propolis, olive oil and gift boxes, delivered across the country or collected from the farm in Klahim by arrangement. Spring is its busiest season, and Ido gives lectures and guided tours with tastings, at the apiary or anywhere in the country, by arrangement.
