Two handmade caravans and a five-room khan on a working farm in Moshav Kmehin, among the dunes near Nitzana, with a pool and a young food forest

Khan Conchita is on a working farm in Moshav Kmehin, a small farming village among the desert sands of the western Negev. It has two private caravans for couples, Mid Van and Dubele's caravan, each with its own kitchen and bathroom, and a khan of five rooms for groups and families of up to about 21, with a shared kitchen, a barbecue, a spot for a campfire under the stars, seating corners and a swimming pool; it can also be hired for events. In 2021 the family set aside 10 dunams of farmland for a food forest of fruit and ornamental trees around a water pond that draws birds and wildlife, and offers a tour of it of about an hour and a half, which takes in the family's story, plant-based eating and growing food sustainably, and when the season allows the farm's cherry-tomato greenhouses. Nearby are the Nitzana dunes, the Agur sands reserve, Nahal Nitzana and the national parks at Shivta and Nitzana.
