Darna Bagalil, "our home in the Galilee", is a small ecological farm at the edge of Lavon with two luxury suites for couples only, built so that they touch the Matlul Tzurim nature reserve. Its hosts, Kalanit and Avihu, have run it for over a decade. The Merlot suite faces east over the reserve and the Galilee mountains, the Chardonnay suite faces the rock of the mountain, and each has a large round jacuzzi ringed by windows, a wood fireplace, a kitchenette with a coffee machine and a private balcony with a path down to the natural stone pool. Breakfast brings together the flavours of the Galilee, and the farm grows its own vegetables and fruit, keeps a small chicken coop, recycles water and makes its own electricity. Both hosts are personal coaches, and they also run stays of three days and two nights built around a couples' communication workshop or a workshop on preparing for retirement.
