Orchids Caffe opened in 2016 in the original building of the kibbutz's orchid greenhouse, which its site calls the first in the country to grow orchids and which closed in 2015. It is run by David Aslan, a restaurateur who opened Moment, Mona and Link in Jerusalem and learned Italian cooking in northern Italy with a speciality in gluten-free doughs, and Daniela Aslan-Zilberstein, a Bezalel graduate and jewellery designer. The menu is dairy and Italian: Roman focaccias with eggs and cheeses in the morning, pizzas made on site with mozzarella, salads such as caprese and panzanella, Israeli and Italian wines and draught beer. The light-filled room is full of plants, and it hosts small daytime events for up to 70.
