Mashabim is the holiday village of Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh, on Road 40 between Beersheba, Mitzpe Ramon and Eilat. Its 82 country-style rooms are spread through several compounds among wide lawns and look out over the desert, some in two-storey buildings, each with a flat-screen television, air conditioning, a coffee corner and a small fridge, and a sitting area and barbecue corner outside; the rooms have no kitchenettes. The half-Olympic swimming pool looks over the desert, is shaded and open at the sides in summer and opens in winter only on request or for holidays such as Hanukkah and Purim. The dining room serves a full Israeli breakfast and, by arrangement, self-service meat lunches and dinners for up to 200.
