Mishmarot Road, Mishmarot

A sourdough bakery on Mishmarot Road, by Kibbutz Mishmarot at the edge of Pardes Hanna-Karkur, that makes its breads and pastries by hand

Elchanan Bread Culture is a bakery making sourdough breads alongside sweet and savoury pastries, all of them made by hand on the premises, according to its website. Its breads are flour, water and sea salt only, with no additives, sugar or oil, and the rest of its baking uses olive oil and butter only. The regular midweek loaves are classic, spelt, and rye with walnuts; the classic and walnut-rye loaves weigh about 1.1 kg baked, roughly twice an ordinary loaf, and are sold whole, as halves or as quarters, and a whole-rye loaf comes out on Thursday at midday and sells through Thursday and Friday. Its online shop also lists croissants, babka, focaccia, pretzels, quiches, sandwiches, cookies and spreads, for delivery or pickup from the bakery. Its website gives the address as Mishmarot Road, Pardes Hanna-Karkur; its map pin falls inside the Menashe Regional Council rather than Pardes Hanna-Karkur, and the religious council lists it under Mishmarot.
