Road 65 between Afula and Kfar Tavor, at the entrance to Nein, Nein

Chef Nashat Abbas's Arab Galilean restaurant at the entrance to Nein on Road 65, known for lamb slow-cooked in a pit and dishes baked in the taboon

Sahara Palace is the restaurant of chef Nashat Abbas, who with his brother Hussam opened Al Babour near Umm al-Fahm a quarter of a century ago; he went out on his own here in April 2021, in a vast hall at the entrance to Nein where a restaurant called Sahara stood for years, behind the village fuel station. Ynet's reviewer wrote in February 2026 of a partly open kitchen with smokers, taboons and a madfuna, a pit in which lamb cooks for hours, and of wild greens such as chicory, mallow and akkoub on the table through the foraging season, until about March. On its Wolt page the menu runs from house hummus and cauliflower in tahini at 30 shekels through shishbarak, kebab halabi baked in dough and a Galilean wedding mansaf to stuffed lamb neck for two at 250. Its tasting meal, which brings most of the menu to the table, cost 250 shekels a head in Ynet's 2026 review, and Walla's October 2025 piece on its new Levantine tasting menu called it the best deal in the country.
