Nes Ammim Hotel stands in the village of Nes Ammim, east of Highway 4 between Akko and Nahariya, next to Moshav Regba and Kibbutz Lohamei HaGeta'ot. Its site tells how a Dutch doctor founded the village in 1963 with Jewish friends, to bring European volunteers to Israel in solidarity with the Jewish people after the Holocaust; to this day volunteers who come for six to 18 months run the village and part of the hotel, and groups come to its learning and dialogue centre and stay at the hotel. The hotel has 48 rooms and eight kibbutz apartments set among lawns with wooden benches, a swimming pool in season, a synagogue, children's playgrounds, a tea and coffee corner, Wi-Fi, and halls for events and conferences. Its restaurant serves Israeli and international food under the Mateh Asher rabbinate's supervision, and guests can order meals for a day out, or a lecture and a tour on the village's history and aims.
