The Neve Shalom Hotel stands in Neve Shalom/Wahat al-Salam, the village Jews and Arabs share near Latrun, in the Judea wine region and facing the Ayalon Valley. Its 41 ground-level garden rooms sit among wide lawns and planted beds, each with its own terrace; ten of them are newer deluxe suites of 35 square metres. In summer a half-Olympic pool opens on the hill with a view, shaded and ringed with grass, beside a covered toddlers' pool, a snack bar and basketball and football courts. The hotel's restaurant, Doka, serves Arab home cooking; the lobby bar pours draught beer and boutique wines; and guests have three barbecue corners. Five halls, an events tent for up to 300 and an amphitheatre for up to 500 take conferences and celebrations, and the village's visitors' centre runs tours of the village and its spiritual centre.
