Cortado Cafe is a coffee cart in Moshav Nir Banim, set up in 2022 by Dvir Hochman, who grew up in the moshav, and his friend Nitzan Graf, whom he met while studying at the Faculty of Agriculture; with the help of Dvir's father they built it in a small neglected grove in the moshav that the two cleaned up and tended. It opens at weekends as a meeting place, with coffee from beans roasted by the Israeli roastery Dada Cafe, pastries and sandwiches, such as a gouda and artichoke sandwich on a wholemeal rustic roll, and a pistachio cookie in the Amsterdam style. On Fridays it also sells challahs, yeast cakes and home-made biscuits, and there is plenty of room for children to play, with a playground within walking distance.
