The winery of the cooperative community of Or HaGanuz, at the foot of Mount Meron, making kosher boutique wines from Upper Galilee vineyards

Or HaGanuz Winery is a cooperative winery in the community of Or HaGanuz, between the Galilee hills and the foot of Mount Meron, whose workers are members of the community and, by its own account, live by the principle of 'love your neighbour as yourself'. Its grapes grow in the Upper Galilee from Mount Meron to the Lebanese border at up to 900 metres, and it makes its wines with traditional boutique methods alongside modern technology, in the Amuka, Marom, Orot and premium series and a line of dessert wines, under the kosher supervision of the Badatz of the Edah HaChareidit and of Beit Yosef. Its site says its wines have won gold medals in international competitions. A new visitors' centre is being built, and until it opens the winery hosts visitors at its long-standing shop, open Sunday to Thursday from 09:00 to 17:00 and on Friday from 12:00 to 14:00.
