Patagonia is a meat restaurant in the heart of Kibbutz Or HaNer, set up by members of the kibbutz who came from Argentina to bring a piece of their homeland to the Negev. It cooks traditional South American food: asado, entrecôte and chorizo grilled over glowing coals, served with red wine, fresh salads, empanadas and desserts, and its site says it is open on Shabbat. The restaurant takes events of up to 200 guests and has a private room for up to 100 that is open during its regular hours, and midweek it offers the restaurant's kosher catering. The regional council's page on Or HaNer, a kibbutz founded in 1957 by young immigrants of the Ihud Habonim movement from Argentina and Uruguay, lists the restaurant among the kibbutz's enterprises.
