Ramat Rachel Hotel stands in Kibbutz Ramat Rachel on the southern edge of Jerusalem, near the Talpiot neighbourhood and the United States embassy, and calls itself the only resort hotel in Jerusalem. Its 165 rooms, from 23-square-metre standard rooms to 32-square-metre premium rooms and garden rooms that open onto the lawns, all face the open view of the Judean hills. Guests enter free the RClub country club beside it, with an indoor heated half-Olympic pool, a seasonal outdoor pool, a toddlers' pool, a jacuzzi, wet and dry saunas, a Turkish bath, a gym and tennis and basketball courts, and the Ayal ecological animal farm on the kibbutz. Half board means dinner on the day of arrival and breakfast the next morning. The hotel also runs a conference centre and event halls and gardens, and offers tours of the kibbutz's farming, the archaeological garden, the Mitzpe Yair lookout and the olive park, with cherry picking in season.
