In the heart of the old village, Rameh

A family café, patisserie and restaurant in a restored old house in the heart of old Rameh, cooking Arab, Mediterranean and Italian dishes

Al-Sobat is a café, patisserie and restaurant run as a family business by Mimi, Hussam and their children. Until 2020 they owned the Ahuzat Shulamit restaurant in Rosh Pina; when the pandemic closed it, they began restoring an old house in the heart of Rameh's old village, where Al-Sobat now stands. Mimi, who trained in pastry at the Estella school in Tel Aviv, runs the patisserie, and Hussam runs the kitchen, the menu and the house. The menu mixes Arab, Mediterranean and Italian cooking, from Aleppo kebab, musakhan and sambousek to Neapolitan pizza and chestnut ravioli, with vegetarian and vegan dishes, focaccia baked on the spot, cocktails and wine. Breakfast is served from 10:00 to 13:00.
