A Rehovot bistro of twenty years, now Café Cezar, in a new home with a garden on HaMada Street

Café Cezar, for twenty years Cezar Bistro Bar, is a Rehovot brasserie that moved less than a year ago, its site says, to 15 HaMada Street, facing the garden of the Gav-Yam campus in the Science Park. Its story is that of a young group who set out to open a European brasserie with a Mediterranean heart; the new menu keeps the signature dishes and puts at its centre olive oil, pecans and figs from the owners' family farm, Meshek Kenigstein-Cohen. The new place opens with the wooden front of an old coffee shop, then a high-ceilinged room with a big bar, and a green garden. It serves business lunches and a dinner menu with cocktails, hosts events in a private room and a lounge, and is open every day but Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00, Shabbat included.
