Villa Tehila was built in 1882 as a farmers' estate and inn, and its site says it has been preserved and restored in the spirit of the 19th century since 1970. Its 14 rooms are tucked into the lanes of old Rosh Pinna around an English garden, and guests have a heated pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, a pub built of stone arches and a tea house with a fireplace. A country breakfast is served in a dining room that looks out over the Hula Valley, the Hermon and the Golan. Lonely Planet's Middle East guide, as its site quotes it, called it the most distinctive place to stay in Israel.
