Café BaSadeh is the small dairy café of Bio-Tour, a visitor centre in Kibbutz Sde Eliyahu that runs tours on organic farming and biological pest control, from the kibbutz's barn owls to its bumblebees. It serves a light meal of sandwiches, quiches and desserts, cakes and biscuits are sold during the week, and groups can book a welcome or a breakfast. Beside it a shop sells the kibbutz's own produce and other organic and natural products, with gift boxes of organic dates, organic grape juice and olive oil. Sde Eliyahu, a religious kibbutz founded as a tower and stockade settlement, pioneered organic farming in Israel and owns BioBee, the country's first biological pest control factory, its site says.
