5 Derech HaMeyasdim, Sde Ya'akov, Sde Ya'akov

A family estate winery in Sde Ya'akov in the Jezreel Valley, among its own vineyards facing Mount Carmel, with a visitor centre, a deli, tastings and picnics

Sadot is the estate winery of the Levy family, who have farmed in the Jezreel Valley since the early 1980s: Ze'ev Levy set up the farm, and in 2009 his son Roi joined him to plant the vineyards and build the winery and the visitor centre. All its grapes grow in its own vineyards around the winery and on the nearby Sheikh Abreik hills, in Mediterranean varieties such as Petite Sirah, Syrah, Tempranillo, Marselan and Grenache Blanc, picked by hand in the early morning, and from the 2024 harvest it makes about 45,000 bottles. The visitor centre looks out over the vines, a rainwater reservoir and Mount Carmel, with table seating, a deli of local products, a brunch, picnic baskets among the vines and guided tours that end with a tasting. Its site says the winery is kosher.
