El Mul Golan is the country lodging of Kibbutz Sha'ar HaGolan. Its site puts it at the edge of the kibbutz, facing the Gilead and Golan hills, 500 metres from the Yarmuk river on the Jordanian border, ten minutes' drive from the Sea of Galilee and Hamat Gader and a quarter of an hour from Tiberias. A stay includes breakfast in the kibbutz dining room, the covered pool, which is heated from November to February, the petting zoo, the museum of the Yarmukian culture with a guided tour, the playground in the middle of the kibbutz and a map for a self-guided walk; every room is a few steps from the pool, the museum, the dining room and the minimarket. It calls itself a quiet hotel, with no loudspeakers anywhere on the grounds, and its gardeners keep the place green enough for more than 50 kinds of birds to nest in the trees. The kibbutz also runs four tours: the shelter children's tour in a restored shelter, a kibbutz tour, a farming tour and a botanical tour.

On Saturdays and festivals guests can stay until 12:00. Arrival has to be arranged ahead with the reception office, which is open 08:00 to 17:00; the kibbutz gate is closed from the afternoon, so on a first, late arrival guests phone reception to be let in.
