Jacob Nea stands in green grounds in Moshav Shavei Tzion in the Western Galilee, a few minutes' walk from the sea, and is one of ten Jacob hotels. Its listing on the Western Galilee tourism association's site says it opened in 1955 as the Beit Chava convalescent home, later became Hotel Hofit, and reopened after renovation as the Nea in November 2017, named for the Byzantine settlement that once stood there. It has rooms for couples and families in the main wing, villas with private pools heated in winter, an adults-only spa wing with an indoor pool, a restaurant, a snack bar and a lobby bar, and an outdoor pool open to all guests in summer. Breakfast and a meat buffet dinner are served in the hotel restaurant, and the moshav's synagogue is four minutes' walk away on the same street.
