Zeppelin Bar's site says its story began more than eight years ago, when two local childhood friends set out to bring a young, lively scene to a small community town: parties, live shows, talk evenings and beer festivals. The site calls the mix that grew up around it "a Jerusalem flavour with a Tel Aviv beat", and puts the weight on good ingredients, food, its own cocktails and local boutique beers. The seated menu it links opens with house bread from the stone oven, a charred aubergine with raw tahini and two carpaccios, goes on to 200 g burgers, a vegan burger, a Vietnamese chicken sandwich and an entrecôte challah, and ends with desserts such as a flourless chocolate cake with a Bamba crumble. On tap are Goldstar, Paulaner, HaGibor IPA and Shapiro Pale Ale, beside whiskies, wines and nargilas, and from 11:30 to 16:00 a set lunch brings a main, a side and a glass of lemonade. Tables are booked through Tabit, and the site also takes orders for delivery or pickup.
